TRIGLIA – " Fish’n Chips ": A Visual Feast of Sea, Humor, and Imagination

With " Fish’n Chips ", artist TRIGLIA immerses us in a true kaleidoscope of emotions, forms, and colors. This 100 x 100 cm canvas is a dazzling contemporary fresco, overflowing with faces, creatures, and symbolic elements. As always with TRIGLIA, the line is bold, the humor unmistakable, and the composition bursts with energy.

The title, both playful and provocative, references a well-known dish only to turn it on its head: here, the fish aren’t fried—they’re alive, swimming, laughing, talking, and transforming. In this graphic patchwork, we discover stylized fish, anthropomorphic human heads, sun faces, hybrid creatures, and even miniature narrative scenes.

Each segment is treated like an individual painting. The whole recalls comic strips, folk art, or even stained glass windows with its modular, colorful structure. Blue is a recurring visual thread, acting as a cohesive element while also evoking the marine world suggested in the title.

TRIGLIA’s graphic style reaches its peak here: vivid colors, strong contrasts, thick black outlines, and sparkling white accents. The viewer’s eye is constantly stimulated, drawn to explore every detail, to invent stories, and to interpret the myriad of expressions.

This joyful abundance is far from random. It reflects a profoundly human and generous worldview, where the diversity of beings is celebrated. Each face is different, unique—and yet they all coexist within the same space, in a sort of visual cacophony that’s vibrant, yet harmonious.

"Fish’n Chips" is an ideal piece for collectors of narrative contemporary art, fans of reimagined outsider art, or anyone seeking expressive, energetic works. The painting is equally suited for a private interior or a public or professional setting, as it immediately captures attention and sparks the imagination.

Available at Galerie Bouillon d’Art in Bordeaux and for online purchase, this piece once again highlights TRIGLIA’s unique talent for crafting abundant, liberated worlds rooted in color, emotion, and storytelling.,
