« The artists’ studios » is a concept born during the first confinement in spring 2020. The galleries being closed to the public we had the idea to propose to the amators and collectors of works of art to discover new works and new artists by proposing available works in the studios of our artists throughout that times. The sales and shipping of these works were managed by the gallery. During the second and third confinement we reopened the studios allowing the artists to maintain visibility on the market of art and to sell their works. This concept ends up taking place over time and finally opens up to artists who are not visible in galleries. This action of support to the artists is essential today when we’re confronted to the closing of a great number of galleries. We select here new works and artists in the continuity of our work as gallery owners and ensure the logistics with trusted third parties. We hope that this new service will help you to regularly discover new favourites.
The artists' studios, new works directly available from the studios! Discover the new works online at the gallery Bouillon d'art

  • TAKLANTI Marie workshop
Marie Taklanti, freshly graduated in applied arts, ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres in Paris, and in plastic arts, University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, begins her career as an author and illustrator of books for young people in collaboration with major publishing houses : Bordas, Bayard, l'école des loisirs... She invested about fifteen years before committing herself to a series of drawings, with Japanese ink and brush on Thai paper which will betray her fascination for the calligraphy of drawing.
Her drawings are done freehand with no other support than dexterity and the ability to lead the line where it expresses the most intense intention, a thousand miles from any realism even in the heart of / amid a figuration often very faithful to appearances.
"The gesture is an engagement of the body" and the obvious extension of the representation of the bodies. Light, combined, sucked, in movement, the bodies represented by the artist introduce you in a vital spiral. Duality, cohesion, tugging, entanglement, fluid precise lines, that can lead to different readings/ interpretations of the work.

    The gallery's words

First of all it is a discovery on social networks that allowed me to discover the work of Marie Taklanti. Her gesture, her dynamism, the vitality and energy of the line supporting the tensions of the bodies in weightlessness as suspended in time and yet all linked to each other, I was conquered. Then I discovered the artist through an interview that explained her approach and that finally convinced me for real. When Marie contacted the gallery the decision was already made / I was already sure that I wanted to work with her.

  • CAPTON workshop
After studying at the Fine Art School in Orleans, CAPTON devoted himself to his art from 1987, and from 1991 to the teaching of arts. In 2003, he stopped teaching to paint full time. Animal painter, portraitist of bulls and cows, CAPTON is also devoted to the landscape or the male nude.

CAPTON is a committed artist, a demanding and passionate painter. He fully claims the heritage of the old masters and their ideal aestheticism. Artist of the New Renaissance, the beauty and emotion it provides is at the center of its creation.

His work often refers to the universe of rurality, where he draws inspiration. The works of CAPTON evoke his questions about the competence and the legitimacy of the Man in the interference of the world.

Omnipresent, the question of "domination" and its excesses, recurs repeatedly in the work of Capton. Domination of man over man, domination of man over nature and its programmed destruction. The artist questions, warns us against these abusive behaviors, destruction by the man of his environment. A cry of alarm to make us think and change our behavior.
The theme of "sacrificied nature" points our responsibility on the future of the planet. The artist invites us to lead an active reflection.
The artworks exhibited below are those available from the artist's workshop, they are shipped and insured by the gallery.

    The gallery's words

Our first encounter with the work of Capton dates back several years ago. Challenged by his work and the balance of power and domination he denounces we reacted quickly. A meeting in the gallery in 2016 allowed us to understand better the artist's work, to finally consider a collaboration that took shape in 2017 with the "Hommes-Taureaux". In 2018 we introduce in gallery his work on "sacrificed nature", a subject that speaks to our heart and in 2019 his painting on animals. CAPTON joins the gallery's committed artists and offers us different aspect of this subject.
